EarnTrip ("we", "our", or "us") operates a peer-to-peer parcel delivery
marketplace that connects senders with travellers. This Privacy Policy explains
how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use
the EarnTrip mobile application.
By using EarnTrip you agree to the collection and use of information
as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
- Full name, email address, and password (hashed โ never stored in plain text)
- Phone number (used for contact between sender and traveller)
- Profile photo (optional)
- Country of citizenship and country of residence
Identity verification (KYC)
- Government-issued identity documents (passport, national ID, driving licence)
- Proof of residence documents
- These are stored securely in Firebase Storage and reviewed only by
EarnTrip administrators for verification purposes
Parcel and delivery information
- Item descriptions and parcel photos
- Receiver name and phone number
- Origin and destination airports and countries
- Delivery PIN (used for secure handover confirmation)
Payment information
- Payment is processed by Stripe. EarnTrip does not store your full
card number, CVV, or bank account details
- Bank account details for withdrawal (account name, number, bank name)
are stored in your profile for processing payouts
- Transaction records (amounts, dates, escrow status) are stored in
our database
Usage and device information
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Firebase Analytics usage data (anonymous, aggregated)
- Push notification tokens (for delivery and payment alerts)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your EarnTrip account
- To match senders with travellers on the same route
- To verify your identity before allowing you to carry or send parcels
- To process payments and release escrow funds to travellers
- To send notifications about parcel requests, payments, and account updates
- To investigate disputes and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations in the countries we operate in
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only in
these circumstances:
- Between sender and traveller: When a parcel request is
accepted, the sender's name and the traveller's name and contact number
are shared with each other to coordinate pickup and delivery
- Stripe: Payment processing data is shared with Stripe
Inc. under their Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy)
- Firebase / Google: Our infrastructure runs on Google
Firebase. Data is stored in Google Cloud servers
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information
if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety
of our users
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage)
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Identity documents are stored in a restricted Firebase Storage bucket
accessible only to EarnTrip administrators
- Delivery PINs are used only for handover confirmation and are not
shared externally
- We use Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorised access to our
backend services
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Parcel request records are retained for 2 years for dispute resolution
and legal compliance
- Identity documents are retained for 1 year after account closure
for compliance purposes
- You may request deletion of your account and data by contacting us
(see Section 7)
6. Your Rights
Depending on your country of residence, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Update inaccurate personal data through Profile Settings in the app
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to how we use your data in certain circumstances

7. Children's Privacy
EarnTrip is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that
a user is under 18, we will close their account and delete their data.
8. International Data Transfers
EarnTrip operates across multiple countries including New Zealand, Australia,
India, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada,
Germany, and the United States. Your data may be stored on servers located in
any of the regions where Google Firebase operates. By using EarnTrip you consent
to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of
significant changes via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the
top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

To permanently delete your EarnTrip account and all associated data, send an email to earntrip.support@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email address. We will process your request within 7 business days.
